Meet SwinG’nette

Light edition 2025

21 – 23 Nov

SwinG’Amann introduces SwinG’nette!!!

Swingamann — our warm and much-loved swing dance event baked with butter in beautiful Brittany.

For the past 5 years, every November, Swingamann has brought together around 300 dancers from all over France to share their love of dance, passion, warmth — and of course, the delicious taste of Kouign-amann!

But this year, Swingamann is taking a little break.
We’re giving ourselves a moment to refresh and come back even better. Swingamann will return in 2026 — stronger, sweeter, and brighter than ever!

And what about 2025, you ask?
Well, as any good baker knows, you can’t leave people without a little buttery treat. That’s why we’ve already slipped something into the oven…

Introducing SwinG’nette!
A cosy, intimate format to keep the spirit alive and the dancing going. Stay tuned — your little taste of joy is on its way!

Party tickets will not be available for purchase at the door.

Thank you for understanding!

Stomp Stomp Swing Band

Friday party is about meeting, and we wish to say “welcome” to you! Stomp Stomp Swing Band will be there to help us with that!

Stomp Stomp draws its energy and inspiration from the finest sources of the 1930s and 40s, catering to lovers of the grand swing era. The sextet revisits the irresistible themes of the golden age jazz orchestras, from Harlem to Chicago, with personal, bold, and inspired arrangements.

Comprised of a solid rhythm section and a scintillating brass section, Stomp Stomp passionately blends its original compositions with the treasures of swing, promising a true explosion of rhythms and melodies that invite dancing and celebration.

Kevin Double Quartet

Multi-instrumentalist Kévin Doublé discovered his passion for African-American music at the age of 15. He started with the diatonic harmonica, then moved on to singing and guitar. From then on, he never stopped performing on stage with various bands, alongside musicians such as Julien Brunetaud, Arnaud Fradin, Eric’C, Josh Miller, Karl Davis, and Barrelhouse Chuck…
In 2006, the Hot Club de France awarded him the prize for Best Album – “Discovery” category – for his debut record Blues in the Morning.
In the swing scene, the name Kevin Doublé is well known and highly regarded, particularly thanks to “Le Swing Society,” a group with which he recorded two albums and toured throughout France.
In 2011, he contributed harmonica to the hit “Down the Road” by C2C, an album that went on to win four Victoires de la Musique awards.
He later appeared in a duo with the singer “Ndeye,” as well as in the “Ndeye 4tet.”
Today, he devotes himself entirely to his new swing quartet, alongside Pierre Le Bot, Anthony Muccio, and Gabor Turi!!

Teachers

Gerard & Uxue

Gerard and Uxue are Lindy hop and Authentic Jazz teachers at Triple step dance school (Barcelona). Both of them have come from different backgrounds based in other dances and disciplines.

Gerard has been ballroom dancer, and tango dancer since the age of 7, while Uxue was rhythmic gymnastics, classical and contemporary dancer at the age of 9.

Both of them have dedicated themselves to teach for more than 10 years dance, but the last 8 years more specifically to Lindy hop and solo dancing.

Their methodology seeks for the understanding of the movement, and its expression through swing music. Their knowledge of other dance fields gives them a unique perspective of how to use technique, self-expression and communication in partner dancing.

Leticia Martin

For Leti, jazz dances are inseparable from their cultural context. Her approach, both as a teacher and performer, aims to be part of a lineage—the dancers who have carried (and still carry) this tradition. We are dwarfs standing on the shoulders of giants.

In constant search of groove and swing, Leti explores the ways the body resonates with music, as well as the development of improvisation and personal expression.

A Lindy Hopper since 2011, her dance is nourished by the diversity of styles in vernacular jazz, as well as by the stories and life experiences that surround them. Sharing and exchange are at the heart of her approach.

Today, Leti teaches Lindy Hop and vernacular jazz full-time in Montpellier, at the Montpeul’ Swing school. A passionate educator, Leti encourages her students to push themselves and find their own voice, while remaining carriers of the tradition of this dance.

Leti also leads an academic career, currently dedicating her research to exploring and understanding how jazz dances are perceived in France, and their place within cultural policy.

Nicolas & Alina

And the last detail, the pinch of salt in the mixture of butter and caramel – the third couple of teachers: Nicolas and Alina. Classes with them – a fascinating blend of French charm and Slavic austerity – are ultimately a joyful encounter, where everyone laughs and feels free to express themselves. Smiles and passion are always there, they like to share their knowledge in a relaxed and good mood.

We can count on Alina and her love of rigor to keep the cours serious, and on the historical digressions of Nico (graduate in history) to travel and learn while having fun! They had the opportunity to teach together “at home” (in France and Belarus), but also abroad, where they both won prizes in competitions, separately and as a couple. Many years of experience across Europe and the discovery of different visions, techniques and teaching methods strengthen their partnership, enrich it, and constantly inspire them for new projects.
